MEET THE TEAM

 

DAVE KRASNE

Dave has spent the bulk of his career evaluating and executing principal investments, as well as developing strategy and executing as an operator and board member of small companies. Prior to founding RedNest Partners, Dave led deal teams in executing transactions, as well as developed and implemented strategic initiatives as a portfolio company director at The Riverside Company. 

Prior to joining Riverside, Dave was Chief Operating Officer at Professional Sports Publications (PSP), a private equity backed company and the largest publisher of game day programs for professional and collegiate teams and events in the U.S.  Before PSP, Dave was a Principal in Merrill Lynch’s Global Private Equity division, where he executed a variety of principal investments, monitored portfolio companies (including service on several Boards of Directors) and exited investments. 

Prior to receiving his MBA, Dave worked in Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch executing mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance transactions for clients in the Technology and Financial Services industries.  Dave earned a BS in Finance from Penn State University and an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA. 

 
 

JACK NESTOR

Jack is an experienced small company investor, having spent more than 12 years investing in and working with lower middle market businesses across a range of industries.  Jack is passionate about supporting great managers in building growing and sustainable companies. In 10 years with the Riverside Company, Jack successfully invested in eight platform companies and 22 add-on investments to those platform companies.  Jack also served on the boards of these companies and supported management in a wide range of operating initiatives. Through these experiences, Jack has a deep appreciation for and understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with operating and growing lower middle market businesses. 
 
Prior to his time at Riverside, Jack spent 2 years at Willis Stein (a Chicago-based private equity firm) and 4 years in investment banking (1 year at Brown Gibbons Lang and 3 years at J.C. Bradford).  Jack holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Government from Colby College. 
 
Jack is a father of two active teenage boys who share his passion for Cleveland sports, for discovering different corners of our great country (particularly the National Parks), and shooting hoops.  Jack lives in Cleveland, OH and serves on the boards of two local non-profits (Front Steps, Inc. and Hanna Perkins Center for Childhood Development) and is currently a member of The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio’s LeadDIVERSITY class.
